Default DIY Help!!

Can anyone help? I have just removed the flyscreen from my motorbike to make it look a bit better however cannot remove one of the two holders because i have sheared the inside of the allen bolt that was holding it on. The size it has gone to is between 5 and 5.5 mil and i dont know how to now remove it to replace it? Is anyone in the know who can help me in my predicament ???

many thanks

what you need is to drill a small hole in the center of the sheared bolt and then use an easy out, it has the thread going the opposite way so as you screw it in to the hole you have just drilled it will start to turn the sheared bolt and out it comes. ;D

Was reading on the internet that i could possible use a hacksaw to make my own "slit" heh heh - childish! and use an oversized flathead screwdriver to get it out? would that work? if not i'll go down to and I am assuming B&Q stock "easy outs"? cheers for the tip by the way!

The problem with cutting a slot is that if the screw is tight you might shear off the only piece left if you are going to use this plenty WD40 b4hand.
