Default Keeping a computer clean

Looking for some help guys. I normally keep my computer clean just by deleting the browser history, cookies, files etc.

This however is a shared computer and i'd like to prevent anyone accessing websites i've visited (this one included).

Whats the best way to keep my computer clean and to permanently delete my history of website visits, and videos viewed.
Does your computer keep a record of visited sites or is the scare mongering.

Use Firefox, there are lots of privacy settings and add-ons to help hide your dirty browsing habits.

Hell, it's what I use!!

You could use a proxy or optionally, set your history to delete when you exit firefox or whatever browser you are using.
